Welcome to Heritage Virtual Airlines, the original HVA ! Since 2004. Yes we are back after a very long time, pretty much since VAFS shut down if anyone remembers that far back. We dabbled with phpvms v5.xx for sometime and liked it, however, enter the newer version of phpvms v7 a few years ago. We tried it, and didn't like it. We'll leave it at that.
Hence, after a lot of research on our Web Masters part, we got back together and decided to put together this site along with our Main Domain also, FlightSimFanatic which is more geared up towards the Civil side of things there. This Site is geared up towards the Old Aircraft, Military Aircraft and a lot of the Old Heritage Virtual Airlines Routes here in the new version of phpvms v7. We waited a long time for the bug fixes in this, and we'd like to thank the Developers for all of the very Hard Work and the End Results !!
Onwards, we always accept Pilot Applications here period. Our FAQ just below here, gives some detailed information on what we offer to. Such as our new Tour/Charter/Missions Module, our New Events System, and a whole lot more here. We also now have a Miles Shop which allows a little competion between pilots. We also offer from our old VA, Seaplane Base Operations now. Yes, just like the Old Heritage did. Many water routes with the PBY, the HU16-B Albatross, (which is availible to certain members on qualifications), many float planes etc. We just finished putting in an inhouse Email System also here. We love it, as its a great way like the old system to communicate between pilots.

5/22/2026 We are running of course vmsACARS for phpvms v7. We own it, and will also be upgrading this to the Pro Version soon. In order for any pilot to fly, you must download this and install it, or you will not be able to log and fly here. This is Mandatory. At the moment this is really the only Client Flight Tracking Software out there, besides SmartCARS 3, sorry but TFDI has become entirely way to expensive for our tastes, hence we have discontinued the SmartCARS 3 system and use vmsACARS period. Unlike the Older version of SmartCARS 2, there is no option either to Purchase SmartCARS 3. For this one reason alone, many VA Organizations have discontinued SmartCARS 3, and we are one of them. vmsACARS also in our Opinion is far far better all the way around, there are many more controllable Features for you the Pilot and especially for the Administration in the Control Panel of vmsACARS, a Ton of features. For FSX and P3D users you will also need to download the Makernwys file in the member downloads, unzip it, and drop it into the Root of your P3D or FSX Simulator, and "RUN IT". Thats it. There is also Documentation very detailed in the phpvms Forum Boards areas. If you need help, then of course we will get you up and in the Air Quickly with this, so don't panic !

Our Requirements are simple, just fly. We do however have just a few small policys here. You are required to fly One flight within 10 days of your registration, this tells us whether or not your serious about Flight Simulation. After which, your only requirement for flights are 4 Flights a Month, thats only 1 flight a week. We fully understand that Life happens on life's terms, and things always happen without warnings. If you need time off or can't meet our criteria's, then please use our in house Email, or live chat and poke us with your message. We have a New Maintenance system here that monitors our Landing Rates in a Major way, hence, hard landings automatically kick into this New system. Our maintenance department has 4 Aircraft Checks, A, B, C, and D. Upon reaching any of these Aircraft Checks, said Airframe is instantly laid up for 24 hours upon the Maintenance Schedule/s. We then review each Maintenance Record and all of its Records.
As mentioned above, Landing Rates are important to us, and should be in all VA organizations. Hence if your landing rate is around -300fpm, then your scraping passengers finger nails off the food trays. If your landing rate is around-400fpm, then your scraping passengers off the "CEILING", unacceptable here. On this note, vmsACARS has a limit pertaining to a -400fpm, if your landing rate is above this then your PIREP will be automatically be Rejected ! We also review all landing rates. This has also a Major Effect on our Finances here. As we have a Realistic Financial System here which entails many Finance departments, at least 37 to date which yes, is also hooked with our Maintenance Dept.
Remember, this is the Old Heritage VA, and the LSO is also back watching your Flight Performance's, especially on the Military Side of HVM ! vmsACARS has an extremely detailed Flight Log System, and We absolutely Love It !!! See you in the Air !!!
This we are Excited about, We just put in a New In House Email System, anyone remember the old one from the old phpvms ? We do, and have been waiting to get one in here, now its a done deal and in the Menu system of course. On top of that we offer a Tour & Charter system along with an Events system now also. We also have a Live Chat system here to. We highly recommend that you take some serious time and explore our Web Site here as its Advanced, and offers a ton of Pilot Features here, unlike any other VA Organizations around the Globe ! On another note, we are about 80% there with a Brand New Flight Search / Bidding System for our Site, this will be hooked into our New Pilot Country Passport System, at the moment it is still in Beta, but we have already tested it, and managed to get it to Function the way we want it to. You as a member will see New Lines of coding as we go along in the New system, so keep an eye on this, as mentioned we are very close to finishing this.

The answer is YES. We do not limit this. We would much rather see you in the air then worried about if I have enough hours, or type rated, or any pertaining subject. If you do not see a schedule you desire, then we recommend using our in house Email after you have logged in, and poke us. We have currently over 15,000 airports and are adding more world wide. Also you do not have to bid on a flight, you can add a flight directly from vmsacars. If unsuccessful, then pick another Schedule already in place. The choice is yours. We are continuing our updates one day at a time. So keep an eye on any and all posts here, especially NOTAM posts. We post many updates and NOTAM News almost everyday, so its up to you to keep an eye on this please.
